IPTV Studio — Privacy Policy

Who we are

IPTV Studio is a media player made by JVA Digital, the Netherlands ("we"). Contact: privacy@jva-digital.com.

In short

IPTV Studio has no account, no server of ours and no tracking. We do not collect, receive or store your personal data. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.

What the app is

IPTV Studio plays live TV, films and series from a playlist that you provide (an Xtream Codes account or an M3U link). The app does not include or supply any content.

What is stored on your device

• Your playlists: a name, the server address and username. The password is kept in your device's secure storage (Keychain, Android Keystore or Windows Credential Manager).
• A copy of the channel and title lists from your playlist, so the app starts quickly.
• Watch history and resume positions, favourites, hidden categories.
• Profile names and chosen pictures.
• Your parental-control PIN, stored as a salted hash in secure storage.
• Your language choice and, if you use one, your TMDB API key (secure storage).

This data never reaches us. Removing the app removes it. You can also delete a playlist or profile inside the app.

Connections the app makes

• Your playlist provider. The app contacts the server you entered to fetch lists and stream video. That provider sees your IP address and login details and applies its own privacy policy. We have no access to this.
• TMDB (The Movie Database). To show posters, descriptions and episode information, the app sends titles, identifiers and your app language to TMDB, using your own API key. TMDB sees your IP address and applies its own privacy policy. This product uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.
• Extra guide sources you add. If you add a programme-guide (XMLTV) link, the app contacts that address.
• Casting. If you use Chromecast, the app looks for cast devices on your local network (this is why Android and iOS ask for nearby-devices or local-network permission) and gives the stream address to the device you choose.
• Purchases. Pro is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payment is handled entirely by them; we receive no payment details, name or email address.

What we do not do

We do not use advertising, analytics, crash-reporting services, social plug-ins or tracking of any kind. We do not sell or share data, because we do not have any.

Children

The app is not aimed at children. The PIN in the app is a local lock on your device, not an age check. What content is visible depends on the source you choose.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to give access to or delete. You can still contact us at privacy@jva-digital.com. If you are in the EU, you may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If the app changes what it does with data, we will update this page and the date above before the change ships.
